Action Committee for Defending the Diaoyu Islands and China Federation for Defending the Diaoyu Islands are the main representative organizations in the movement. == Leadership == One of the prominent leaders of the Movement was David Chan Yuk-cheung (陈毓祥). He drowned in the sea near the disputed islands during the first wave of direct protests. Tens of thousands of Hong Kong people mourned his death in Victoria Park on Hong Kong Island.
